One Mission.
One Message.
OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE.
Seeking the City aims to inspire and mobilize churches to be on mission
to share Jesus with all people in West Georgia.
OUR VISION IS BOLD.
We envision a fresh gospel missionary movement of hundreds of West Georgia churches equipping and sending more people, and to more places, to proclaim the Kingdom of God and share the good news of Jesus. Find your purpose. Find your person. Find your corner - for God's glory and the good of the city.
A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
Launched in 2021, Seeking the City's goal was to take the gospel where Jesus is not known in West Georgia and beyond.
We love our cities in West Georgia. But many of our neighbors are hurting. The evidence of brokenness and spiritual lostness in our city can be overwhelming. With God’s help, we can rebuild and restore our cities and communities so that people are cared for physically, emotionally and mentally; transformed spiritually; and thriving in community relationally. That’s biblical transformation. As we pray and seek God for our cities, He will lead us and show us how to bring unity, healing, and restoration.
Together we can fix broken homes and systems, reach the marginalized, speak up for those who have no voice, and share the good news and love of Christ with all. That’s how we’ll see our neighbors and the culture of West Georgia transformed by the gospel.

OUR MISSION FIELD
Seeking the City is dedicated to a search and rescue mission to identify the people and places in communities across West Georgia who need the gospel and local churches the most.

Seeking the City

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Denominationally flexible. Theologically aligned.
We know there are some organizations who will work with anyone at all, regardless of theology, which means they do not have much of a Biblical foundation for their process. Seeking the City works with any church or organization that shares our theological convictions - a commitment to the Great Commission, the authority of Scripture, the deity of Christ, and the power of His death and resurrection to save.
What we believe unites us, directs us, and fuels us.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death and atonement through His shed blood, through His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writing, and the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice.
Salvation
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Spirit are essential.
Forgiveness
We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life.
The Church
We believe in the spiritual unity of the Church, which is the Body of Christ, composed of all who are regenerated by the Spirit through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
