Gospel mission, not a model.

Seeking the City believes the gospel needs to be rediscovered, regularly proclaimed, and rightly understood as still powerful to save sinners.

We can't save sinners ourselves; that's something only God can do. But we can help cultivate people and churches to to be ready for sparking a gospel missionary movement.

It starts with individuals being personally transformed by the gospel and then moves out through the city as a collection of Christians in local churches share the gospel with others. Essentially, we're talking about gospel renewal, not a model, that leads to a gospel missionary movement.

Seeking the City sees this movement being accomplished through a gospel-focused mission ecosystem made up of a diverse coalition of churches, ministry partners and individuals collaborating for city outreach, community transformation and church mobilization.

Will you help take the gospel to every person, every city, every day in West Georgia?

CHURCH MOBILIZATION

Mobilizing churches to share Jesus with all people in West Georgia.

On mission with God.

Seeking the City is focused on inspiring and mobilizing all God’s people to join him on mission to fulfill his agenda for the world and his Church.

1. We were made in God’s image and likeness for work.

2. We were created for work with God, not for God. We were never meant to be God’s subcontractors. Work was supposed to be carried out in relationship and through fellowship with God.

3. Redemption re-establishes our relationship with God. This means we can once again work with Him as co-laborers.

4. God has called us to be fruitful. Fruitfulness is a major theme of mankind throughout the Bible (John 15).

5. Fruitfulness follows redemption and is lived out in the context of mission (Colossians 1:6).

6. God, in His infinite wisdom, has combined our participation with him in mission with our journey to maturity (or sanctification). Mission and our journey to maturity are inseparably connected. Through our involvement in mission, the Bride is making herself ready to one day be for the last Adam what Eve was called to be for the first Adam.

Salvation is a calling, and when properly understood, we would see:

• every believer enthusiastically engaged with God on mission

• local churches facilitating their people into mission with God
